Prettiest food place I’ve seen in a while with superb tasting food to match.
Management team and staff were very helpful and attentive both before and throughout the visit.

Enjoyed working with @thesilent_traveller1. I’m completely new to social video formats or haven’t had much practice with it, he suggested we keep it casual and I’m kinda happy with the result.

About The Orangery

Taking its name from the conservatories built in European fashionable residences from the 17th to the 19th century, The Orangery is an elegant tea room and patisserie bringing fierce pride and enthusiasm to everything it does. It is located on the grounds of The Palace Boutique Hotel in Bahrain. Once you enter the gates of The Orangery, you feel instantly transported to an English garden on a summer’s day; a real hidden gem boasting beautiful landscaped gardens, a courtyard with water features and a luxurious terraced dining area.

You just cant go wrong with the elegant tea room and patisserie. A Classic!
Plus, this is not an extremely expensive option for an afternoon tea as we could have expected.

The Orangery focuses on the traditional English tea room era, offering an a la carte menu with an influence of the Middle East. A wonderful café/patisserie where the quality matches top hotels. Their team of chefs have spent a great deal of time developing a menu that is the perfect balance between classic English concept and location in the Middle East. Their artisan breads, delicious cakes, tarts, viennoiserie, and macaroons represent the best of classic Europe; while their savoury team brings Middle Eastern flavor to their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, with delectable Lebanese and Syrian dishes.

Last week, I caught up with Anna Shoaib, a wonderful woman, entrepreneur, mother and proud owner of Signature Studio Dubai on her Ramadan tour of Bahrain.

The best part of our meeting was that I got to meet some amazingly talented designers from the studio, not just that, I also got to try some of their dazzling clothing line and accessories.

With the gorgeous Sammy K. Wearing one of her exclusive collections, she creates breathtaking clothing range from embellished Bridals to Prêt wear.

Every detail was perfect – from their professionalism and attentiveness of nailing down all the details, to arriving on site super early to make sure everything was done perfectly. The passion Anna Shoaib has for what she does is unparalleled, and it shows through her exquisite work!

A good collaboration is based on unique contributions from each side. Thank you for being so so sweet and supportive Anna ❤❤

Took advantage of the warm and sunny weather this weekend, and opted for a picturesque and secluded picnic at Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa sea & spa. Here’s the details as promised, everything you need to know about our delightfully simple, pre-arranged picnic.

You can enjoy a grand ‪Saturday lunch‬ outing between 12:30-4 PM on the lush lawns with your loved ones until Ramadan.

The Location

The hotel is far from the main city but it is all worth it! Located on the immaculate beaches of Zallaq overlooking the Arabian Gulf on the west coast of Bahrain, this 5-star luxury hotel in Bahrain boasts the only Thalassa Sea and Spa in the GCC countries.

After getting recommended by a friend about the Pique-nique, I decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday under the blue skies of Sofitel Bahrain. As Ramadan was starting soon, I was waitlisted at first, but someone canceled on at the last minute and I got lucky.

The Set Up

Opt for a patch of lush green grass next to the pool area, or on the sandy shores of the private beach. The choice is yours!

After selecting the ideal spot, all that’s left for you to do is slowly make your way to the picnic site of your choice, admiring the tranquil beauty of the estate on your way. The staff at Saraya Restaurant in Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa sea & spa will pre-pack your picnic basket, set up your blanket and lay everything out in anticipation of your arrival.

 The Basket

The picnic basket arranged by Saraya Restaurant features a variety of mouth-watering delicacies. Our basket included regular favourites – sandwiches, starters, fresh fruits, water, dessert, sweets, and much more. We carried a bottle of wine for the celebration. I also got a double chocolate cake from Macaron Pastries, located on the lobby level of the hotel.

Cost for picnic hamper is 10BD per head with children 6-12 half price , and below 6 free (INCLUDING) beach access!

I have no words other than “Absolutely Delicious”! Thanks to the chef, a wonderful soul..soul of a #Chef is exhibited in his creations and it’s clearly evident in your work 🧡 P.S. The double chocolate cake was to die for & the red velvet was a real surprise – with secret chocolate filling (heaven..ummm!!!)

Easter is such a fun holiday and mine was extra special this year because I got invited to share it with some wonderful people. I love Easter…it means the beginning of Spring, it’s such a happy, bright holiday, and it also means that Cadbury Creme Eggs are out in stores 😉

This is her second Easter. She was happy to run around with the kids during their egg hunting competition.

Every year millions of homeless dogs await their fate behind the chain-link walls of a shelter. Shelter dogs wait days, weeks, or even years for a home…and every day they wait for a walk.
Animal shelters are everywhere in every size, kill versus no-kill, privately owned or government run, and the differences go on and on. No two animal shelters are alike, but there is one thing that remains the same. Animal shelters are a second chance for our homeless pets.
Visit your local animal shelter to learn about volunteer opportunities.

It’s impossible to pick favorites when it comes to dogs. When it comes to sheer adorableness; however, these pooches might just rise above the rest.. BSPCA thanks for letting me be a part of this. Loved capturing the day.

Holi in Bahrain – Dipped in hues of Love and Color

Nobody apprehends the importance of celebrating festivals than the Indians settled abroad away from their country and cultural roots. I had it marked on my calendar since the beginning of February.

Celebrating Holi, (the Hindu festival of mischief, love, affection, and color) was on my list of goals for the blog alongside shifting apartment and raising a 14-month-old. We got to welcome spring (and diversity) with warm-loving arms, during this Holi in Bahrain on March 2nd 2018.

A day full of fun for all, was organised extremely well at Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort. Wolfpackeventsbh, IGMH – Indian Gulf Media House, KTK Events, Desi Nights Bahrain and Bollywood Glitz have done an excellent job of organising a wonderful, successful event this season. The vibrant lineup included live dhols to rain dance, best of mind-boggling DJs from all genres, 6 hours of non-stop music, unlimited organic colours, kids play area, live food counter,  and more. Food Attractions included: Indian BBQ, Pani Poori, Shawarma, Momos, Chaat, Cupcakes & many more.

A big crowd of citizens and residents of the Kingdom came together to celebrate one of India’s iconic festivals. Everyone seemed to love the spirit of fun and enjoyment and dived into the barrel of colors to play Holi.

Guests were given organic colored powder to toss around the beach to celebrate the season in style with food, cocktails and beats at this party.

Café CHANTILLY – the French experience in Bahrain

Café CHANTILLY brings a little piece of France in Bahrain with a charming, modern and contemporary space. Located in Sar area in Bahrain, to the west of the capital, Manama, this place makes you feel like you are in an actual cafe in France. The menu is no exception, with dishes and desserts that are so artisanal, they’re almost too pretty to eat.

It’s evident Ségolène (Director & Owner, Café CHANTILLY & CHANTILLY Food) has added her personal touch to the more traditional items, reinvented them and given them new purpose. With the music and splashes of color and patterns, the space is full of life and happiness.
